One often embarks on such a course with misgivings and trepidation. Le Poiron serves as the most splendid and easy introduction to French life, culture and language - it's situation is idyllic being on the edge of a huge natural forest, close to a large dam and yet offering easy access to villages and towns on the best roads I've ever driven on. The proprietors of Le Poiron are a National Treasure.

Françoise is a wonderful teacher and communicator. The mix of lectures and visits was very good also and we were never bored. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed it, and the course (and our hosts) surpassed our expectations. We shall definitely be returning.
Françoise and Mark treated us like friends, not visitors, and we must express our thanks to Dominique and Madeleine for their encouragement and good humour when we tried to put our lessons into practice.

The grammar was explained clearly, our pronunciation corrected patiently and explained in ways, which we haven't seen in any books. Opportunities to speak to and listen to French people were excellent. The accommodation and food were excellent and the friendliness of Françoise and Mark unbeatable. We would like to finish by saying that we enjoyed it immensely.
